General-purpose volume control and shut-off dampers
Volume Control Dampers are slimline units intended for low/medium velocity applications, and are available in two variants:
- DFS900B: Standard volume control dampers, designed for balancing applications where a high level of shut-off is not required – Galvanised steel throughout as standard, stainless steel optional
- DFS900C: Shut-off dampers; fitted with additional seals, shut-off dampers have far lower leakage levels than standard VCDs – Galvanised steel frame and case as standard, stainless steel optional, blades are aluminium with a silicone rubber tip seal
Utilising the standard out-of-airstream linkage, all gears are protected from dust and dirt by being positioned within the channel outer frame, making DFS900 dampers less susceptible to requiring frequent maintenance than rival units where the linkage is within the airstream
A range of control options are available for your new DFS900 damper, from basic manual plastic handles and cast aluminium locking quadrants, right up to factory-fitted electronic or pneumatic actuators. ATEX rated actuators can be supplied if required
