Isover U Protect Wired Mat 4.0 Alu1 is designed for passive fire protection of circular steel ventilation and smoke-extract ductwork. The flexible stone-wool mat has a reinforced aluminium-facing and is supplied in 600mm-wide rolls. The complete system is tested to EN 1366-1 and EN 1366-8.

Typical fixing guidance
- Use the pin size and pattern required by the applicable tested construction.
- For rectangular wired-mat details, the manual places pins within 150mm of edges or mat joints and at maximum 300mm spacing; circular details must follow their own approved pattern.
- Circular sections are secured with approximately 0.7mm binding wire at maximum 250mm centres where specified.
Important: The present draft has 75mm and 120mm variations from the supplier quotation, but the reviewed UK fire-selection guide identifies 50, 80 and 120mm. The 75mm option must not be presented as an EI60 certified selection unless Isover provides supporting confirmation. Keep this product in draft until the available certified thicknesses and supplier prices are confirmed.
